Three Sussex Police officers charged with dangerous driving after their motorbikes collided with car

Three police officers have been charged with dangerous driving after their motorbikes collided with a car.
The officers from Sussex Police were off-duty at the time of the collision with a red Ford Fiesta in Chilgrove in July last year.
Two of them suffered multiple injuries, the force said, while the driver of the Fiesta, an 80-year-old man from Chichester, and his female passenger sustained minor injuries.
Pc James Latter, 30, based at Lewes; Pc Ahmet Yapicioz, 53, based at Gatwick; and Pc Alan Harris, 30, based at Lewes, will face a charge of dangerous driving.
Yapicioz and Harris were also charged with driving at more than 60mph (96kmh).
Sussex Police said the three officers were heading towards Chichester on the B2141 at 1.20pm on 11 July.
They are due to appear at Worthing Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
