Sheridan Smith ‘overwhelmed with love’ after she gives birth to baby boy

Sheridan Smith has given birth to a baby boy, the actress announced on Twitter.


Smith, 38, said she and fiance Jamie Horn are “completely overwhelmed with love” following the birth.
She tweeted to tell fans that “our little man has arrived”.
The message was posted alongside a photo of her son holding onto one of her fingers.
The actress revealed the gender of the baby to her fans in November.
She recently said she felt “lucky” to be pregnant during the coronavirus pandemic because it gave her life “focus”.
Smith has starred in the ITV lockdown drama Isolation Stories, playing a heavily pregnant woman who faces childbirth alone, which was entitled Mel and filmed by insurance broker Horn.
Smith has starred in an array of roles in dramas such as Mrs Biggs and Cilla and for her work on stage in Legally Blonde and Funny Girl.
Stars including Steph McGovern, Stacey Dooley, Michelle Hardwick and football pundit Gary Lineker shared messages with Smith on social media after she announced the news.
McGovern wrote: “Congratulations! So pleased for you both.
“Love to all three of you.”
Lineker said: “Congratulations to you both.”
The birth was described by Hardwick as “gorgeous news”.
