James Pardoe
I have been volunteering at Bay Trust Radio since Summer 2015 and have enjoyed every minute of my volunteering experience.
I was born in Ipswitch, Suffolk and not long after moved to Carnforth in Lancashire, but have spent most of my life in Heysham.
I studied in Cumbria at Kendal College. I have a background in music and have an interest in technology. I enjoy listening to the radio so I decided to apply to become a volunteer have have not looked back since!
I have taken on a range of roles while at the station, these include technical assistant, desk driving for outside broadcasts and being part of the behind-the-scenes sports team. I am now Training Officer and help some of our new volunteers get started.
One of the proudest moments has to be the 40 hour weekend, where we managed to raise £4000 in our 40th year of broadcasting.
I am proud to be part of Bay Trust Radio’s team and would recommend it to anyone!
