Man arrested by armed police in London anti-terror operation

Armed police have arrested a 20-year-old man on suspicion of plotting terrorist acts.
The suspect was arrested in northwest London at around 6.30pm on Thursday, Scotland Yard said.
Metropolitan Police counter-terror officers were assisted by the firearms command ahead of the pre-planned operation.
There were no injuries.
The man, who is from northwest London, is being held on suspicion of preparing terrorist acts, contrary to section 5 of the terrorism act 2006.
He is in custody at a south London police station.
