Forecast: Clear spells overnight but increasing risk of snow showers through the early hours. Then a bright day with a mix of sunny spells and snow showers, falling increasingly as rain below about 450m, the showers generally isolated through much of the morning but becoming more frequent for a time around midday. It becomes largely dry again from mid-afternoon with skies then clearing through the evening.
View: Valley temperatures close to zero through the early hours. Gusts around 40mph over ridges and summits.
Cloud Free Hill Top: Around 75% improving close to 100% from mid-afternoon
Visibility: Occasional cloud above 600-750m through the morning and early afternoon then lifting above the summits. Away from cloud visibility excellent, falling close to just a few kilometres in snow showers.

Forecast: Dry and clear overnight then a sunny start although rather more in the way of cloud, generally above the summits, developing through the morning. The afternoon looks dry with some sunny spells.
Wind: Northerly 10-15mph.
Cloud Free Hill Top: 90% or more
Visibility: Only small amounts of cloud expected above 750m from late morning. Otherwise visibility excellent with good panoramic views of surrounding fells and lakes.
Freezing Point: Around 400m steadily rising to 900m
