One of TV’s best-known serial killers is to make a comeback.

Dexter will return to US cable network Showtime with a 10-episode revival.
Michael C Hall will once again play the forensic blood spatter analyst who divides his time between working with police and being a vigilante killer.
Gary Levine, president of entertainment at Showtime, said in a statement: “We would only revisit this unique character if we could find a creative take that was truly worthy of the brilliant, original series.
“Well, I am happy to report that (executive producer) Clyde Phillips and Michael C Hall have found it.”.
Dexter finished in 2013 after eight seasons and a number of awards.
In the series finale, Dexter switched off his sister’s life support, dumped her body in the sea and sailed into a hurricane.
But the end of the episode showed Dexter working as a lumberjack.
The new plot has not been revealed and it is not known whether the show’s other main characters will be involved.
Production begins later this year and broadcast is likely in autumn 2021 in the US.
