Bomber Salman Abedi identified by fingerprints and dental records

Manchester Arena bomber Salman Abedi was identified mainly by fingerprints, DNA and dental records.
The details came out as an inquest into the 22-year-old attacker’s death was opened and then adjourned.
The court at Manchester Town Hall heard the force of the suicide blast "severely disrupted" the body of the murderer, who died at the scene.
Abedi killed 22 people and injured more than 200 others when he detonated a device in the main foyer as concert-goers left an Ariana Grande gig on 22 May.
Detective Chief Inspector David Warren said Abedi’s body was recovered from the site the following day and transferred to a mortuary outside Manchester.
A bank card in his name was also found.
Abedi died of multiple injuries, according to a post-mortem examination.
No relatives of the killer, who was born in Manchester of Libyan descent, were at or represented during the five-minute hearing.
Senior coroner for Manchester Nigel Meadows adjourned proceedings until 1 December.
He indicated it was "very likely" the hearing would be further adjourned before a full inquest takes place.
