Adele has marked the 10th anniversary of her award-winning album 21 – but still isn’t giving anything away about when any new music might be released.
The British singer-songwriter released her second studio album on 24 January 2011, producing hits including Rolling In The Deep, Set Fire To The Rain, Rumour Has It and chart-topper Someone Like You.
It picked up a Brit award for British album of the year, as well as the prize for best album at the Grammys in 2012.
With Adele‘s album titles coming from her age at the time of production, it came after her debut, 19, in 2008, and was followed by her last record, 25 – another Grammy winner – in 2015.
Fans have been waiting for more than five years for a fourth record. While the star has confirmed it is in the pipeline and speculation has increased in recent months, there are still no details about when it might be released.
Marking the anniversary of 21, Adele wrote on Instagram: “Well I never! Happy 10 years old friend!
“It’s crazy how little I remember of what it was like and how I felt a decade ago.
“But Thank You from the bottom of my heart for letting us into your lives and letting me be a soundtrack to some of it x.”
A high-profile presenting role for Saturday Night Live in October prompted speculation Adele was on the verge of releasing her new music at around the same time.
However, she revealed during the show that she was only on hosting duties, with singer-songwriter HER appearing as musical guest.

“My album is not finished and I’m also too scared to do both,” she said.
“I would rather just put on some wigs – and this is all mine by the way – have a glass of wine or six and just see what happens.”
Earlier this week, it emerged Adele had reached a divorce settlement with estranged husband Simon Konecki.
The former couple had their son, Angelo, in 2012, and married in 2016 after five years of dating.
Adele filed for divorce in Los Angeles in September 2019 and court records show she filed a judgment packet earlier this month. A judge now needs to sign off the agreement to make it official.
