Riyad Mahrez upsets Leicester team-mates with Man City exit efforts
Written by News on 31/01/2018
Riyad Mahrez’s efforts to force through a move to Manchester City have left a number of Leicester players feeling angry and let down, say Sky sources.
However, Sky Sports News has been told it was his failure to turn up for training on Tuesday, and his decision not to join up with the squad for Wednesday’s game against Everton that has upset a number of his team-mates.
Meanwhile, Mahrez is understood to feel frustrated that, while N’Golo Kante and Danny Drinkwater were allowed to leave the King Power Stadium following Leicester’s Premier League title victory, he has been refused the chance to go to a bigger club.
Leicester are determined to keep the Algeria winger, who has two-and-a-half years left on his contract, and will only allow him to leave if their valuation is met.
