I tuned in while I was in the Royal Lancaster Infirmary, but that was all I needed. You can tell there are professionals on the other side, people who are aware of what actually happens in hospitals. Well done and a great listen. I now tune in at home I enjoy the variety of music you play.

David, Lancaster

I have had many nights in the RLI in Lancaster and I tuned into the radio system on the hospital bedside unit. I started at channel one and I was amazed that I was listening to hospital radio the diverse shows and music are far better than the local commercial station that I tuned in to at home.

You can tell that the volunteers on the station are enjoying entertaining the listener I telephoned the studio and requested many songs and they got played.

I continue listening at home because the station has a free app!

Well done and keep up the good work.

Tracy, Heysham

I am writing to thank all the team at Bay Trust Radio for keeping me company while I was in the RLI I thoroughly enjoyed the station.

I just love listening to Bay Trust Radio your station plays a massive array of music! You should all be proud of what you are doing to keep us entertained during this Covid-19. And all volunteers so no wonder you won the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service.

Peter and Susan, Kendal.

I’m a new listener after seeing your radio station on twitter! From the first time I tuned in, I could tell how professionally run the station is well done! I can’t believe why the mainstreamed radio stations don’t do what you do instead of playing the same songs time after time. Once again well done and keep up the excellent work.

Whilst I was the RLI as a patient I was very impressed with the hospital radio service (Bay Trust Radio) it was so entertaining and informative. Will you please pass on my best wishes to the team for an excellent service there was something to suit everyone’s taste in music. The hospital trust should be proud that they have such a professional radio service and operated by volunteers.

Tony Bates in Lancaster.

I visited the hospital and I needed to get to an appointment but was unsure where I needed to go.
I required a wheelchair and John Williamson from Bay Trust Radio went out of his way to take me in the wheelchair where I needed to be.
I think he should be praised at what he did even though it wasn’t his job it made my visit to the WGH rememberable.

Mandy Shaw from Kendal.

They have kept broadcasting throughout Covid-19 keeping everyone entertained and informed they also supplied iPads to the wards for the patients to listen and be able to contact love ones.
I understand that they are all volunteers and deserve a thank you for what they do.
An amazing voluntary team!

Kath Close in Kendal.
